Rock crevice
Rock crevice is, like the name already tells, a rock that has many crevices. It is specially designed as a hiding place for flatter fish that like to breed or hide in crevices, for example Lasiancistrus and Pseudolithoxus species and Dekeyseria picta “L168”. Because of the many crevices in the rock there is place for a lot of fish. The holes all have different sizes, horizontally and also in height, so the stone can be used for different sizes of fish. It is also possible to use the rocks for small/young fish as a hiding place.
Also with catching out the fish it works easy there the fish can’t really hold themselves into the holes. The front and back of the holes are open.
Material and manufacturing
The rock crevice is, like all our breeding caves, a handmade product and manufactured from fired clay (1090 °C). Therefore differences in size and appearance are there. Every piece is really different!
Due to the nature of the material, the surface of the rock crevice is slightly rough.
The standard color of the rock is brown.
In addition, it is also possible to order other sizes or color of the rock. Even special rocks, other than the standard measurement is possible.
