Igloo 18cm with archway

Description

Igloo 18cm with archway is a hemispherical cave with an open floor area and a wide entrance designed as an arch. They are ideal caves and suitable as hiding or breeding places for ornamental fish, catfish, crayfish and other aquarium and terrarium inhabitants.
This size of the igloo can accommodate approximately 2 – 3 axolotls of average size.

The surface of the igloo is smooth in the colour variations. The single-coloured versions have a surface pattern on top.

Material and manufacturing

The igloo is, like all our breeding caves, a handmade product and manufactured from fired clay (1090 °C). After air drying for several days, they are hand finished to remove any sharp corners or edges, and then baked.
Because they are handmade there can be differences in size and appearance. Every piece is truly different!
Due to the nature of the material, the surface of the Igloo is slightly rough.

In all the breeding caves or shelters that we offer, great importance is attached to injury-free surfaces and entrances. As a rule, no finishing work is required on your part.

It is possible to disinfect the igloo by boiling it or placing it in the oven at a high temperature.
