Description
Medium Stone cave is a cave made of clay in the shape of a stone. It is possible to use this stone cave in aquariums but also in terrariums. It is therefore a perfect hiding place for, for example, catfish, salamanders, small lizards or even mice or dwarf hamsters.
Due to the large entrance, this cave is also suitable for average sized axolotls.
What is a cave?
Caves are used as a breeding- and hiding spot for plecos, catfishes, shrimps and crayfish. In addition, they also offer shelter for eggs and babies.
Breeding caves can be manufactured out of different materials and can have different shapes and sizes, depending on the animals needs in shelter and breeding.
Those caves can also be used in a terrarium as breeding- and hiding spot for lizards,.
Material and manufacturing
All our caves are handmade products, manufactured from clay. Those caves are air-dried and then cleaned and sanded to remove any corners or edges.
Since all clay caves are made by hand, variations in color and dimensions may occur, as each is incomparably unique.
Due to the nature of the material, the surface of the cave is slightly rough.
What is the size of those caves?
Dimensions approx. 21-22 x 18-19 x 7-8 cm
The size may vary as it is a handmade product, entrance size and position varies. Each item is therefore unique!
In addition, it is also possible to order other sizes or color of the Medium stone cave. Even special caves, other than the standard measurements is possible.
