The DIY (Do It Yourself) Pleco paste from Pleco Ceramics is a paste food specially made for Hypancistrus, Peckoltia and other pleco species. Carefully selected ingredients ensure optimal nutrition for your pleco. This paste food has been developed by a renowned pleco breeder from Ukraine, where all fish grow up with this food.

 

What is PlecoCeramics?

PlecoCeramics Pleco paste is a fish food powder that you can convert into a gel by mixing it with water. While the gel is still liquide you can spread the gel directly on a flat surface, for example, a stone or piece of wood. This to stimulate the natural feeding behavior of the fish.

In the aquarium, the gel remains good for 12 – 16 hours without affecting the water. But do not feed more than the fish will eat within 4 – 5 hours.
The best time to feed is just before the lights go out.

How do I prepare PlecoCeramics Pleco paste?

Instructions for making 40 grams of Pleco paste;

Mix 10 grams of the nutritional formula with 7 milliliter of water. The water can be cold, it is not necessary to heat it up like it has to be done with Repashy. It is possible to add a few more drops of water if necessary.
Stir this immediately really good and then spread it on, for example, a piece of wood or a stone. For 4 to 5 medium-sized fish, a 0,5 cm in diameter sphere should be sufficient. After this, let the liquid gel cool down at room temperature until a firm gel forms.
When the gel is hard, you can directly put in the aquarium and feed your fish.
After preparation, the DIY Pleco paste should be considered as fresh food.

How long can I keep PlecoCeramics Pleco paste?

– You can keep the prepared Pleco paste in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks in a sealed package.
