What is the Oase BioPlus?

The Oase BioPlus is an internal filter including a “HeatUp” heating element for aquariums which can be used for both, fresh- and seawater aquariums. The big advantage of this internal filter is that it above all, very user-friendly in maintenance and that it is possible to place in the corner of the aquarium. Another big advantage is that the filter has an integrated outflow that ensures even surface movement. This prevents biofilm formation and also provides oxygen enrichment. Further, there is space in the filter for an adjustable heater. So, this makes it possible to leave the heater out of the aquarium itself, which is safer (also for the fish). But there is also less visible technology in the aquarium.

All BioPlus filters contain separated modules. When the modules are full of dirt, it is easy to dissemble for cleaning while keeping the pump unit in place. No trouble with cables or hoses, because the modules work with magnets. There is also no need to disassemble the entire filter, therefore saves time and aggravation.

Oase BioPlus 100 Thermo:

The Oase BioPlus 100 Thermo is an internal filter for aquariums up to 100 liters including “HeatUp” heating element. The 20ppi filter foam provides effective mechanical filtration. This BioPlus 100 Thermo contains one separated module for filtermedia.

BioPlus 100 Thermo is also available in a normal version, in this version the “HeatUp” heating element of 100 Watt is not included.
It is also possible to remove or exchange the heating element to the BioPlus 100 Thermo at a later time.

Also, it is possible to exchange the current filter media with other filter media. For example, the brand Oase offers different kinds of filtermedia, which will fit perfect in these filters.
However, we always recommend adding nitrate resin in the filter as part of the filter material, in addition to the normal filter media, to dissolve nitrates in the aquarium water.

Variations:

In addition, it is possible to order the BioPlus in different variations.
The types without the heater are: BioPlus 50, BioPlus 100 and BioPlus 200.
Types where the adjustable heater is included: BioPlus 50 Thermo, BioPlus 100 Thermo and BioPlus 200 Thermo.
Since all the types, without included heater, have on this position a removable cap, heaters can always be added in those later, when needed.

All the filters are delivered as a complete set; Including filter media and suction cups.
In summary, 2 Mousse BioMaster 20ppi Blue is included as standard.
